Otavio has great intimacy with the graphic language through his work. The relation between engraving, monotypy and drawing is the field from where he develops an affective investigation of memory.
He was part of the collective Ateliê Espaço Coringa from 2003 to 2008 and Casa de Tijolo, between 2011 and 2012, and has participated in exhibitions in Brazil and abroad, such as the exhibition Superposer, at the Atelier Press Papier (Canada), during an artistic residency, and Travesía, in Havana, at Casa Simon Bolivar, in 2010.
With a degree in Social Sciences from USP, Otávio has several experiences in artistic-pedagogical projects, including participation in the educational coordination team of the 30th São Paulo Biennial and giving courses at the Tomie Ohtake Institute and SESC.
Currently, he produces his work independently and teaches Visual Arts at the Fabricas de Cultura project.
