Nicolas Bourthoumieux
Born in 1985 in Toulouse, France
Lives and works in Brussels, Belgium and Bagnères de Luchon, France
Nicolas Bourthoumieux is a french artist who initiated his practice in the sculpture department at ENSAV La Cambre. He then created installations in osmosis with the space, as in his personal exhibition at the Catherine Bastide gallery in 2015. He creates minimalist sculptural forms in which he summons "the essence of matter to the test of time". An attempt to communicate with the Other, a territory of passage, his works show an approach that oscillates between the reality of the world and the possibility of an elsewhere to be configured. Tangible points of view with a sensitive approach to the human community and the universe that inhabits it.
