Daniel Moreira e Rita Castro Neves
Portuguese artists with separate artistic paths, we work in collaboration since 2015. With Laking, which we produced in 2015 following an invitation by the Finish art space Oksasenkatu 11, we started a long project on the representation of landscape, where we use drawing, photography and video – in installation, to think about artistic collaboration, different techniques and artistic cultures, territory, scale and journey. Showing at Galeria Bang Bang (Lisbon, 2016), Galeria Oitavo (Porto, 2017), Fundação José Rodrigues (Porto, 2017) and Sputenik The Window (Porto, 2017) with the next solo shows at Braga’s Museu da Imagem in the context of the 30 year anniversary of the photography festival Encontros da Imagem, at the Lisbon Museu Geológico and at the Casa-Museu Medeiros e Almeida in Lisbon. In October 2017 we will be travelling through Japan in a study trip with Fundação Oriente Short Term Grant.
